OUT WHERE YOU LEAVE THEM ALL BEHIND
traveling, warm weather, big dogs, italian food, warmbloods, learning how to cook
dislikes: stupidly cold weather, most seafood, the smell of a hospital, cell phones, being stared at
strengths: confidence, talking with other people, honesty, good memory
weaknesses: following orders(mainly from his dad), good food, women, lead foot while driving
fears: injuring himself, overly dramatic situations
goals: one day ride at an international level (long term), own a second show jumper (short term)
personality overview: One the outside, Anthony can look like he’s a scary person. (He’s over six feet tall and is built like a tank, and has a neutral expression most of the time. Who wouldn’t be scared?) But really, he’s a really nice guy. Anthony can be best described as confident and honest. He’s very sure of a lot of things, which leads him to be a bit cocky sometimes. Now, he isn’t a very good liar so he tends to be very open and honest about his opinions. Anthony is a people-person, and he enjoys long conversations and loves the company of others. He’s also very kind, which makes him easily likable as well as easily manipulated. [/ul][/blockquote]

Rachel (Anderson) Clarke, 54, retired teacher
father: John Clarke, 57, military officer
siblings: Noah Marie Clarke, deceased
others: n/a
hometown: Ottawa, Ontario
current town: Caledon, Ontario
history: January seventeenth, 1985. Anthony Ryan Clarke was the second born child to Rachel and John Clarke, who were living in Ottawa at the time. They lived on a very small hobby farm that consisted of nothing more than a large garden and the tiniest chicken coop. His mother, who wasn’t teaching at the time, spent quite a lot of time with her children. The three of them spent a lot of time outside, playing in the garden or taking long walks along the small property. Although his mother was almost always there as a kid, his father was not. In his father’s absence, he looked up to his older sister Noah. Anthony and Noah didn’t exactly have that love-hate type of relationship as most siblings do, but they did have their moments.
Anthony’s interest in animals in general started when he was young, however horses didn’t come into the picture until he was around four years old. His sister had been taking lessons for a while, and Anthony had often stayed to watch. When he turned five, his parents offered for him to take lessons too. A few years went by before a young Anthony had entered the show ring. He had ridden in the pony divisions for a while before graduating into the larger more demanding equitation ring. Now Anthony would be tested by competing in a pool of very many other talented riders including his sister Noah. Together they had competed in the Canadian and often the American show circuits, but only for a brief period of time. At the young age of seventeen, Anthony’s sister Noah was killed in a car crash. He was fourteen, and decided to use his negative emotions and turn them into something better. Anthony was now more of a fierce competitor than ever, and gave his all into his riding. After the death of Noah, the Clarkes moved away from Ottawa and right into Schomberg. This was when Anthony started to ride in Caledon. In the last years of being a junior, he captured both the CET and the Jump Canada Medals, and a third place at the ASPCA Maclay finals in the United States.
Not long after he had finished high school, Anthony had jumped into University. He attended the University of Guelph and after two years of school, he earned his Associate Diploma in Agriculture. Shortly after returning back home to Schomberg, Anthony moved to Caledon to focus on his riding again, this time in the jumper ring.

registered name: Cadence
barn name: Andy
breed: Hanoverian
height: 16.3 hands
age: 11 years old
discipline: Jumper
notes: Cadence affectionately known as Andy, is a 2001 Hanoverian mare. She was born overseas in Germany, and imported to the United States at the age of six. When Andy was nine years old, she was purchased by Anthony Clarke and came home with him to Canada. On the ground, she is rather quiet and could care less about your presence. There’s not much to say about her under saddle other than she is lazy and needs a lot of leg to get around. She isn’t so fond of water jumps, and has been known to refuse them from time to time.[/ul][/blockquote]
